When love gets in the way of desire…

love and desireThis past week was UHMAZING!!!

I held an event entitled, “Five Men. Your Questions.  Honest Answers. One Night.”

(This event was part of a 6-week workshop series that I have recently created called, “Dare to Love Greatly: The Art of WholeHearted Relationship.™”  I have been running it through its BETA format as I get more clarity on what it is that women are looking for in their significant relationships with men. And, I have learned SO much from this process…)

Twelve brave women showed up last Thursday, questions in hand, with a fierce desire to ask everything they ever wanted to of men so that they may understand them better, have a more intimate relationship with them, find them right for being who they were, and learn how to help them show up as the heroes they are looking to be on their behalf.

And the men…. Ah, the men.  They were SPECTACULAR.

Today, as we head into the holidays, I want to share some of what I learned about Love and Desire from them.  (Honestly, I wish I had had this information 25 years ago.  It would have saved me a lot of heartache….)

So I’m sharing it with you.  Click below:

Now it’s your turn:  What are your thoughts around love and desire?  Complete the statements: I shut off my desires when… and I turn on my desires when…  I would love to hear your responses!

Happy holidays.  May the time with your loved ones be spacious and loving!

In love, service and pleasure,

I really like watching you on the video. It gave me a warm feeling in my stomach. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on love and desire. It made me feel better about bringing my new boyfriend to Christmas Eve Dinner. If I am stressed about it, I can just relax and create space. I am free, peaceful and joyful! All is well and All is One. Namaste!

      Dearest Robin,

You were brilliant for coming here, for getting what you needed and for gathering the tools to move you with ease through your dinner. Yes. Relax. Create space. Be yourself: authentic, in your pleasure, and full of light. Love, Joëlle

I loved your video Joelle. You have such a wonderful way of opening up my eyes to the wonders of life and love. I now see how space in a relationship is imperative and seductive.

So glad! (It took me 50 years to get that lesson…) You are exactly where you need to be. Evolving just as you should. Your timing is perfect and elegant. Enjoy the gifts as they reveal themselves to you. xoxo Joëlle

Thank you my friend. Pefect timing as I have been spending these past few days preparing for that very balance of being present with my family while staying in my own pleasure. All while being able to share a beautiful holiday with my fiance. Interestingly, another friend shared a bit of sound therapy with me yesterday. I would like to share with this community. Stand with your arms at your side. Bring your arms in towards yourself somewhat forcefully as if you are picking up a load of towels. As you do this, close your eyes and slowly say OOOOOOOO. This is bringing in their love. Now- close your eyes and make a face as if you have eaten something sour and say EEEEWWWW while pushing your arms out away from yourself. This is knowing when it’s important create this space that Joelle speaks about so brilliantly. xoxo
